Security Treaty Between the United States and JapanThe Security Treaty Between the United States and Japan was signed on 8 September 1951 in San Francisco, California between representatives of the United States and the State of Japan. The agreement contained five articles, which dictated that Japan grant the United States the territorial means for it to establish a military presence in the Far East.
