2. Empress Go-SakuramachiEmpress Go-Sakuramachi was the 117th empress of Japan, according to the traditional order of succession. Go-Sakuramachi's reign spanned the years from 1762 through 1771. This 18th-century sovereign was named after her father Emperor Sakuramachi and go- (後), translates literally as "later;" and thus, she could be called the "Later Sakuramachi".
