1. USS Minnesota (SSN-783)USS Minnesota (SSN-783) will be the 10th of a projected 30 Virginia-class submarines. She will be the second United States Navy ship named for the state of Minnesota. The contract to build her was awarded to the Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding in Newport News, Virginia on 14 August 2003. Her name was announced on 15 July 2008 and her keel was laid down on 20 May 2011.
