1. USS Rudyerd Bay (CVE-81)USS Rudyerd Bay (CVE-81) was a Casablanca-class escort carrier of the United States Navy. She was laid down under Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 1118) on 24 October 1943 by the Kaiser Shipbuilding Company, in Vancouver, Washington; launched on 12 January 1944, sponsored by Mrs. Scott E. Peck; acquired by the Navy on 25 February 1944, and commissioned the same day, with Captain C. S. Smiley in command.
