野口雨情

2. Ujō NoguchiUjō Noguchi was a Japanese poet and lyricist of children's songs and traditional Min'yō folk music. He wrote some of the most beloved and familiar pieces for children and young choirs, such as the "Akai kutsu (Red Shoes)". He, alongside Hakushū Kitahara and Yaso Saijō are considered the three great poets of children's song-writing in Japan. (Waseda University, which boasts all three as alumni, would like to add a fourth, Rofū Miki.
