2. Michiko Nagai(born March 31, 1925) is a writer of historical fiction in Japan. Born in Tokyo, Nagai graduated from the Tokyo Womens' University with a degree in Japanese literature in 1944. She also studied economy history at the University of Tokyo from 1947-1948. After her marriage to the Nobuo Kuroita, the son of historian Kuroita Katsumi, she went to work for the Shogakukan Publishing Company as an editor, but began to write her own stories with historical settings on the side.
