1. Iraqi Kurdistan football teamThe Kurdistan national football team is the national team of Iraqi Kurdistan. They are not affiliated with FIFA or Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and therefore cannot compete for the FIFA World Cup or the AFC Asian Cup. The Iraqi federation attended a meeting of the New Federation Board in June 2006 but did not become a member. A team representing Kurdistan lost a friendly match 3–0 to the Iraq U-23 national team.
