He fought for the WEC Bantamweight Title at WEC 34 against Miguel Torres. He won against BJJ expert Micah Miller at Dream 7 Featherweight Grand Prix 1st Round, where he won a close but clear cut decision win, but lost against Hiroyuki Takaya at the Dream 9 Featherweight Grand Prix 2nd Round.
