2. Japanese anchovyJapanese anchovy (Engraulis japonicus) is the shoal fish of the family Engraulidae. It is common in the Pacific Ocean south from the Sea of Okhotsk, widespread in the Sea of Japan, Yellow Sea, and East China Sea, also near the coasts of Japan. Live up to 2—3 years old, very similar to European anchovy. Spawning in the natural range from Taiwan to southern Sakhalin.
