2. Kanjinis the Japanese term describing the action of a Buddhist monk who wants to save people and expand his religion. It is also called Kange. It includes recommendations or encouragements of chanting Buddhist sutras and collecting donations for the building of new temples or Buddhist image statues and their reconstructions. Since the medieval age, Kanjin has come to mean the latter action.
