1. Lightweight Linux distributionA lightweight Linux distribution is a Linux distribution that uses relatively few resources. For example, Lubuntu, which requires a minimum of 128 MB of RAM and a Pentium II processor, is a lightweight variant of Ubuntu, which requires a 1 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM. There is no accepted definition of what a lightweight distribution is.
