Alash AutonomyAlash Autonomy (Kazakh: Алаш аутономиясы, Alaş awtonomïyası; Russian: Алашская автономия, Alashskaya avtonomiya) was a state that existed between December 13, 1917 and August 26, 1920, located roughly on the territory of present day Republic of Kazakhstan. The capital city was Semey (referred to at the time as Alash-qala). The Alash Autonomy of the Kazakh people was proclaimed in December 1917.
