1. Shōdoshima, KagawaShōdoshima, Kagawa is a town in Shōzu District, Kagawa, Japan, on Shōdo-shima, an island in the Seto Inland Sea. The town was formed on March 21, 2006 from the merger of the towns of Ikeda and Uchinomi, both from Shōzu District. As of 2008, the town has an estimated population of 16,480 and a population density of 172 persons per km². The total area is 95.63 km². Shodoshima produces somen, soy sauce, and tsukudani.
