1. Charles Emmanuel IV of SardiniaCharles Emmanuel IV (Carlo Emanuele Ferdinando Maria; 24 May 1751 – 6 October 1819) was King of Sardinia from 1796 to 1802. He abdicated in favour of his brother Victor Emmanuel I. Charles Emmanuel was a great-great-great-grandson of Charles I of England, Scotland and Ireland and would have became king of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland in 1807, had it not been for the event known as the Glorious Revolution which had occurred over a century earlier.
