His portrayal of 12-year-old Akira in the highly acclaimed Nobody Knows won him a Best Actor Award at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival. He plays Tetsumu in Shining Boy and Little Randy. Yagira recently landed the starring voice role in director Shinichiro Watanabe's "Baby Blue" Genius Party featurette. He'll play the role of a high school student who falls in love with his childhood friend.
