2. Ōmihachiman, ShigaŌmihachiman, Shiga is a city in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on March 31, 1954. In the quinquennial census of 2010, it had a population of 81,730 . With a total area of 76.97 km (30 sq mi), the population density is 1,062 persons per km². On March 21, 2010, the town of Azuchi from Gamō District merged with the city to create the current city of Ōmihachiman.
