2. Kōryō, NaraKōryō, Nara is a town located in Kitakatsuragi District, Nara, Japan. It served as Japan's temporary capital from 640-642 AD, the Kudara Palace. Kudara is a reference to the Korean kingdom of Baekje. As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 31,964 and a density of 1,956.18 persons per km². The total area is 16.34 km².
