The Year of the Tiger is associated with the earthly branch symbol 寅. The Chinese Zodiac is made up of a cycle of twelve animals: the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. They cycle over a twelve year period, each representing a different personality trait.
