2. Yoita, NiigataYoita, Niigata was a town located in Santō District, Niigata, Japan. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 7,380 and a density of 368.08 persons per km². The total area was 20.05 km². On January 1, 2006 Yoita, along with the town of Teradomari, the village of Washima, all from Santō District, and the city of Tochio, was merged into the expanded city of Nagaoka.
