イストラ (モスクワ州)
1. IstraIstra is a town and the administrative center of Istrinsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the Istra River, 40 kilometers (25 mi) west of Moscow, on the Moscow–Riga railway. Population: 35,106; 33,652; 35,046. It was founded in 1781 as Voskresensk (Воскресе́нск), and was given its present name in 1930. Known since the 16th century as the village of Voskresenskoye, it was later renamed to Voskresensk, granted town status in 1781, and became the center of an uyezd.
