1. MarineamtMarineamt (English: Naval Office) is the German name of a higher command within the German Navy. It must not be mistaken for the former Reichsmarineamt, the Department of the Navy of the Kaiserliche Marine prior to World War I. The Marineamt was founded in 1965. Its original responsibility was training, education and armaments planning for the German Navy. It was situated at Wilhelmshaven until it was relocated to Rostock after German reunification 1990.
