1. José LaiJosé Lai Hung-seng (Chinese: 黎鴻昇; b. in Macau, January 14, 1946) is the current Roman Catholic Bishop of Macau, the first born in the diocese and the second Chinese bishop (the first is Domingos Lam 林家駿). He was appointed on January 23, 2001 Coadjutor and succedeed on June 30, 2003. Lai was born in Macau and attended St. Joseph's Seminary before going to Portugal for further studies at Diocesan Seminary of Leiria from 1967 to 1971 and to Grottaferrata.
