1. Paul Shan Kuo-hsiPaul Shan Kuo-hsi, S.J. (born December 3, 1923) is a cardinal in the Roman Catholic Church, was the Bishop of Hualien and Kaohsiung, chair of Fu Jen Catholic University. Born in Puyang, Zhili province of China, Cardinal Shan was ordained on March 18, 1955 in Baguio, Philippines. He was elected Bishop of Hualien on November 15, 1979 and installed on February 14, 1980. He was appointed Bishop of Kaohsiung on March 4, 1991 and installed on June 17, 1991.
