1. XO-2 (star)XO-2 (XO-2B to be precise, cf. next paragraph) is a cooler Sun-like star located approximately 480 light-years away from Earth in the Lynx constellation. It has a magnitude of 11 and cannot be seen with the naked eye but is visible through a small telescope. This star is also notable for its large proper motion. This star (XO-2B, the northernmost star) is in a very wide binary star system with a nearly identical star (XO-2A, the southernmost star) at a separation of approximately AU.
