1. Caro (horse)Caro (1967–1989) was a French Thoroughbred racehorse. Bred in Ireland, he was raced by Countess Margit Batthyany, who later owned 1972 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner San San. Trained by Albert Klimscha, Caro won three Group One races, setting a new Longchamp course record for 2,100 meters in winning the 1971 Prix Ganay. Although successful in racing, Caro is best known as a sire in France, where he was the leading sire in 1977, and in the United States.
