1. Cho Chi-hunCho Chi-hun (December 3, 1920 - May 17, 1968) was a Korean poet, critic, and activist. He was born in Yeongyang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, during the period of Japanese rule. He graduated from Hyehwa College in 1941, with a major in the liberal arts. Cho served as president of the Korean Poets' Association. He was also the founding director of the National Culture Research Center at Korea University. Cho's birthplace is preserved in Ilwol-myeon in Yeongyang. A memorial to him stands on Namsan in Seoul.
