1. Freedom of religion in PakistanFreedom of religion in Pakistan has come into conflict with sharia law. Pakistan came into existence in 1947, and has subsequently become an Islamic republic. It is estimated that 95% of Pakistanis are Muslims (75% Sunni and 20% Shia), while the remaining 5% includes Christians, Sikhs and Hindus.
