1. Neamț CountyNeamț is a county of Romania, in the historic region of Moldavia, with the county seat at Piatra Neamț. It has three communes in Transylvania. The Romanian word "neamţ" means "German". It was founded by "German settlers" who crossed the Carpathians from the Bistrita area (in Transylvania) and built up commercial communities.
