1. Shinano Kenshiwas founded in 1918 to manufacture Spun Silk Yarn, which at the time, was one of the most "high-tech" industries in the world. At that time the company name was Shinano Spun Silk Spinning Co. , Ltd. As the years passed, the company embarked on other industrial markets that would grow more progressively, while maintaining its proud history in the silk industry. In 1962 the company established an Electrical Department and in 1971 the company introduced a fan motor for air conditioning machines.
