1. Dibër CountyThe County of Dibër (Albanian: Qarku i Dibrës) is one of the 12 counties of Albania. It consists of the districts Bulqizë, Dibër, and Mat and its capital is Peshkopi. Dibër is known for its resistance against the Turks. Historical Dibër included parts of Albania and Macedonia. This division is a result of a claim by the former Yugoslavia on what is now the Macedonian half of Dibër in a 1913 international conference in London. and creation of modern state of Albania by western powers.
