Defense Information Systems AgencyThe Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is a United States Department of Defense agency that provides information technology (IT) and communications support to the President, Vice President, Secretary of Defense, the military Services, and the Combatant Commands. As part of the Base Realignment and Closure, DISA is planning to move from Arlington, Virginia to Fort Meade, Maryland by September 2011. In September 1992, several Defense Management Report Decisions (DMRD) expanded DISA's role.
