FC Girondins de BordeauxFootball Club des Girondins de Bordeaux (commonly referred to as Girondins de Bordeaux or simply Bordeaux) is a French association football club based in the city of Bordeaux. The club currently play in Ligue 1, the first division of French football, and won its last Ligue 1 title in the 2008–09 season. Bordeaux was founded in 1881 as a multi-sports club and is one of the most successful football clubs in France. The club has won six Ligue 1 titles, which places it tied for 4th in titles won.
