1. GurkhaGurkha is an ethnic community from Nepal. Their name derives from the Hindu warrior-saint Guru Gorakhnath (8th century). Gorkhas are indigenous people mainly from mid-western and eastern Nepal. Well known for their history and their role in the unification of modern day Nepal (Gorkha Platoon, modern day Nepalese Army), the Brigade of Gurkhas (British Army), Gurkha Rifles (Indian Army).
