1. Gerd von RundstedtKarl Rudolf Gerd von Rundstedt (12 December 1875 – 24 February 1953) was a Generalfeldmarschall (Field Marshal) of the German Army during World War II. He held some of the highest field commands in all phases of the war. Born into an aristocratic Prussian family, he entered the Reichswehr and rose steadily through the ranks in World War I. In the inter-war years, he continued his career, but ultimately retired. Nevertheless.
