"Praise Jah" is a shortened form of "Praise Yahweh", or, in another transliteration of the name, "Praise Jehovah", It is used in different ways in Christian liturgies. The last syllable is from the first two letters of the name of God, YHWH. Hallelujah is found primarily in the book of Psalms.
