The ryokan I stayed at during the New Year was a well-equipped and attentive place with superb attention to detail. Not only did they provide yukata, but also a service for changeable socks. When heading down to the large public bath, there was a drawstring bag for your personal items, a mini scarf to warm the collar of your yukata, disposable hand warmers for those who get cold easily, room service offering rice balls for when you get a bit hungry at night, and in each room, besides the Western-style bed, there was a tatami corner with a foldable mattress for relaxing. It was a place that truly thought of everything to meet your needs. — Jreibun
