verb meaning and conjugation

Hello
a bit loss here, been searching the internet with no result
What is the meaning of 守るよう? to defend ? then what is the difference with 守る? is よう a suffix?
also what conjugation is 命ぜられた、passive form? i look up in one website, tangorin.com, the passive form is 命ずれる.
Thank you very much in advance !

命ぜられる:from 命ずる is a special verb form, a remnant from old japanese. It is passive form in this example. I recommend learning it as an exception and dont pay too much attention to it.
守るよう: I cant find the documentation to justify this but, in my experience, the "you" was added to quote a command or instruction. another example: 俺の傘を返すのを忘れないよう伝えてくれ => please tell/remind him/her not to forget to return my umbrella

tangorin's auto-generated tables for irregular verbs seem pretty worthless.

Thank you for your inputs ! helping me a lot !
been using tangorin for quite some time , for godan and ichidan verbs it was very satisfying, provide some conjugation that hard to be found on other english language web for japanese learning. I think it will be more reliable if I can use japanese language web, I found a lot , yet cannot fully use it now though.
