Incorrect Translation

The text above is translated as "My mother lives a lonely life in the country."
I believe "My mother lives alone in the countryside" would be a better translation regardless of the context.
What does everyone else think?

Without checking the page on Tatoeba where it came from, I don't think we can say the English is a translation of the Japanese. It could be that the Japanese is a translation of the English. Tatoeba lets anyone write sentences in any direction between languages.

And yes, I agree that the matching of sentences is loose, but just wanted to point out we don't know why or how it ended up that way from just looking at Jisho.

To write the above sentence precisely, it should be like this; 母は田舎で一人暮らし生活をしています。In English, it would be "My mother lives a lonely life in country side".
