Are you familiar with the verb 召し上がる? It's an honorific word for "to eat." You'll hear service workers use it toward customers.
店内で召し上がりますか
Literally: "Will you eat in the restaurant?"
One of the meanings of 召す is eat or drink, and あがる is frequently used in honorific expressions.
召し上がり物 just combines the stem form with 物 the same way 食べ物 is formed.
