Yes xd. my experience: 愛 sound a bit exagerated when used in daily life. if u like some type of food, someone, some activity, etc just use 好き. 愛 can be found a lot more in novel (e.g. discussing "love" philosophically)

Just to be clear, 好 is almost never used alone. As Lyza mentioned, the word 好き is common, but 好 would not be.

I think 愛 is not commonly used as 好? right?
