What's the difference between thes two:
現在 or 今?
Are they the same or do they have different contexts?

今 is much more broadly used.

For instance, 今 can be used in reference to things that will happen in the near future (今から始めます) but 現在 can only be used if one is referring to things at the present. So you cannot say 現在から始めます.

今 is also more likely to be used in everyday conversations for everyday things.
