This is a discussion about 将来性

Meaning in natural Japanese

Future student.
Here is an example of how I have used this embarrassingly with the Jisho.org definition.

14日です。
初めて旅人でオーストラリアは旅先でも将来生だからオーストラリアに戻って帰る。

I think you're misunderstanding the meaning. It's not "future student." Which might be something like 将来生. Note the difference in the last kanji. As far as I'm aware, such a kanji compound doesn't exist.

将来性, which the risshinben on the left, means "future prospects."

Examples I found in a monolingual dictionary include 将来性のある人物 "A person with prospects for the future."
Or 将来性で株を購入する "Buy a stock based on its future prospects."
