Multiple transcriptions for「大都会」

Why, in the sentence below, the word「大都会」is transcribed inline as「おおつかい」and as a word as「だいとかい 」? The former seems to be an error to me, but maybe I’m wrong and the difference really makes sense.

その男、スラムトン·ナトル、大都会での生活に疲れ果て、神経を病んでしまった。

Where did you see it transcribed as such?

If you copy-paste the whole sentence in Jisho and translate it, 「おおつかい」will appear as furigana for the word「大都会」. However, cliking on this particular word will display the corresponding Jisho entry with the「だいとかい」 transcription.

Well, translating full sentences is, as far as I can tell, not really meant to be one of the purposes of Jisho, so the fact that when you do that it can't get 大都会 correct doesn't really seem like such a big deal to me.

In some exceptional cases there are full sentences given as entries, but for the most part it's just individual words.
