But as you said, 教える does show up when you search for 教えて, right? The search is designed to only suggest verbs rather than say "it's this verb definitively" since many verbs look identical to other verbs in certain conjugations.

教 is a minor part of the definition of faith: 信任, 信念, 宗教信仰...
so 教 -- faith is incomplete.

Searching for 教えて took me to 教えて君.
It does properly note that this is the te-form of 教える. As far as I can find in other dictionaries and from the translated source I got the word from originally, it might be worth including a definition of "teach (me)" (since "me" is implied as the topic) for 教えて. It seems like a common usage. If nothing else, including the definition of 教える in the search results is more useful than the one result that shows up: 教えて君.
