Danger

Had a friend learn the hard way...this word does not mean "Chewy" as in the texture of food. If you're not careful you will be telling your new Japanese friend about the time you had relations with a goat. はごたいがある would be one option of something a bit more suitable.

It is in the dictionary as meaning chewy and there are pages that use it in that way, so I don't think it's wrong to say that. You just have to be careful using it since a lot of people will probably think of the third definition anyway.
