Using katakana for words that are usually written using kanji is a common way of indicating emphasis. It doesn't necessarily mean it's a new form that should be added in dictionaries.

New form
I recently discovered in a manga I bought that there's also the form コーフン, which is apparently a more colloquial form of興奮. Is there any way to add this form here as well?
