You might be getting things wrong by applying English word-order to a Japanese phrase.
Could you post an example card name?

can't find yu-gi-oh cards that begin with 新規 maybe some website or w/e you use just wanted to denote a newer version of a specific card? But for example this "red-eyes" card http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Red-Eyes_B._Dragon seems to be named 真紅眼の黒竜 which pretty directly translates to its english name

Like jakobd indicated in his post, the word you're looking for is not shinki/新規, but rather shinku/真紅. If you search for that you should see that it means a shade of crimson.

Problem with 新規 !
I'm learning japanese by translating Yu-gi-oh! cards. Some monsters are supposed to be red-eyed. Their names begins with red-eyes. It is translated from Shinki and I don't understand where does the "red" come from in that word.
Do you have an idea ?
