Hello, I have a question about this sentence "meeru de shitsumon wo mittsu shimashita." How would you translate it would it be "Three questions were made in the e-mail," or "Three questions were done in the e-mail."

"Three questions were asked in the e-mail."
This works, or depending on the context it could be "[I/he/she/they] asked three questions in the email."
