If you searched for "schichimi togarashi" then yeah, that won't come up.
It's "shichimitougarashi" if you want search by romaji.

Thank you. Apparently the company that imports the mixture has mispelled tougarashi on the package....

It's pretty common for English spellings of Japanese words to ignore long vowels, since we tend to lengthen them by default in English. We don't write "Toukyou" after all.

A Japanese food/word question
I live in the U.S., and I recently ran across a condiment called "Japanese seven spice". When I searched on Amazon, I encountered a spice mixture called schichimi togarashi. Question for those know Japan better than I: is this truly a Japanese condiment, and if so, why is there no such word to be found in Jisho?
