Why Can't I Find These?

I'm an artist, and sometimes I look to tutorials that are written in japanese to learn some new techniques, but a lot of times I can't seem to find a particular character at all here on jisho. Right now, I was looking for a character that has ⼌ with what looks like 八 or 人 inside it, with リ next to it. Any ideas what that may be? Also looking for one that has ⽯ and ⾓ next to each other...

Have you tried the radical picker?

That's what I use to find most of the characters I don't recognize, but these two I'm looking for don't show even when I try using the radicals in them. I found another way to search for the two, but it seems like jisho doesn't recognize them at all. However, I did find some similar characters that may have the same meaning.

Maybe you mean 碓, or the more common 確?

character that has ⼌ with what looks like 八 or 人 inside it, with リ next to it

Maybe 刺?

Feel free to link to pictures of them here. I'm sure people will gladly help you. At least if they're Chinese characters that are actually used in Japanese.

Not all kanji are included in the radical search feature, so it's possible that the kanji you are looking for are uncommon and therefore do not show up.

the second one is problaly 确, same meaning as 埆 which means barren land with small rocks (according to weblio.jp). I found it by drawing on google translate for chinese

确 is not even included in 漢検1級. Of course this is ultimately subjective and there are Japanese dictionaries that list 确, but I guess it's not something you would expect out of a Japanese dictionary to list such uncommon characters.

Maybe look at https://www.zdic.net/zd/hanseeker/ that is pretty extensive and has a lot of ways to search for characters.
